Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 5, 2026
Daily Reboot is designed as a private, on-device habit reset app. The app does not require an account, does not use Firebase, does not include third-party analytics SDKs, and does not sell personal information.
Information Stored On Your Device
The app stores your habits, daily checklist status, completion history, streak information, reminder preference, onboarding status, and appearance preference locally on your device using Apple-provided storage such as SwiftData and UserDefaults/AppStorage. This information is used only to provide the app's core functionality.
Information We Collect
Daily Reboot does not transmit your habit data, history, streaks, notification settings, appearance preference, contacts, photos, health data, or usage analytics to us. If ads are enabled, Google AdMob may process limited device, advertising, app interaction, diagnostic, and approximate location information to deliver, limit, measure, and improve ads.
Notifications
If you choose to enable daily reminders, iOS will ask for notification permission. Reminder scheduling happens locally on your device through Apple notification APIs. You can turn reminders off in Daily Reboot Settings or in the iOS Settings app.
Advertising
Daily Reboot may display third-party advertising through Google AdMob on non-checklist screens such as History and Settings. AdMob operates under Google's advertising and privacy policies. Daily Reboot does not send your habit checklist, completion history, custom habit titles, streaks, or reminder schedule to AdMob.
Ads are kept away from the Today checklist so the core daily reset experience stays calm.
Third Parties
Daily Reboot does not share habit data with analytics providers, data brokers, cloud services, or external SDK vendors. Google AdMob may process ad-related data when ads are shown. Apple may process information related to downloading the app, App Store transactions, crash reports, or system services according to Apple's own policies and user settings.
Tracking and Advertising
Daily Reboot may ask for App Tracking Transparency permission before loading ads. If you allow tracking, Google AdMob may use device identifiers and advertising data to deliver and measure ads across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you deny permission, ads may still appear, but iOS limits access to the advertising identifier. Your habit data, streaks, reminders, and custom habit titles are not shared with AdMob.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your Daily Reboot data remains on your device until you delete it, reset the app's data, or uninstall the app. You can use Reset All Data in Settings to remove habits, history, streaks, checklist data, and reminder preferences. You can also delete the app from your device to remove its local data.
Children's Privacy
Daily Reboot is a general wellness and productivity app. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International Users and Legal Rights
Because the current app does not transmit personal data to us, requests to access, correct, export, or delete app data can usually be handled directly on your device by using the app's settings or deleting the app. If future versions add accounts, cloud sync, analytics, or support messaging, this policy should be updated to describe applicable rights under privacy laws such as GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws.
Security
Daily Reboot relies on Apple's operating system protections and stores app data in the app's local container. Do not store highly sensitive information in habit titles.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the app's features or data practices change. The effective date should be updated whenever the policy changes.
